My name is Kelly Wilson but I go by Kel. I’m 24 years old and I live in Oakman, AL. I was born and raised in Battleground, AL as an only child and I had the perfect childhood. I was the biggest daddy’s girl and he was my hero, but unfortunately, when I was 12 years old, my father passed away in an auto accident. My mother Loretta raised me to be a strong independent woman. She has taught me so much about life and I could never be more grateful. Not only is she my role model, but she is my whole world and I honestly don’t know where I would be without her. Luckily my mother and I got blessed twice and she remarried my stepfather Chuck; whom I call Chuckles. He treats me as his own and I could never ask for a better stepfather. I also gained two older sisters, Erika and Amber, whom I consider some of my best friends. They have helped me so much the past few years and we have become so close I couldn’t imagine my life without them now.
I later met the man of my dreams that I prayed so long for, Cody. Our first date was one to remember for sure. He made a rope swing into the pond and dragged his ass across the bank! After that first date, as funny as it may seem, I knew he was my one. After a few months of dating, he asked me to move in. At first, I was nervous because I had never lived anywhere other than my childhood home. Even though it’s 50 miles away from my family and friends it quickly felt like home because his family accepted me with open arms. His mother Melinda and stepfather Big Daddy live next door and are always there if we need anything. I also have Cody’s father Todd and stepmother Ingrid who suggested that I pursue this opportunity because it’s right up my alley.
I am true and I am real. I am probably the youngest most old soul person you will ever meet. I am down to earth and have a heart of gold. I consider myself very blessed. My life has been a hard one, but yet one so wonderful that I don’t know what it would be like if it was different. After some rough patches in my life through the years, I have realized what life is all about, Family. You never know what tomorrow will bring and who will be here, so I cherish every living second of life.
