Phyllis was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama, then lived in Atlanta for 15 years before moving back to Huntsville in 2008 to marry Wes Neighbors. in 2016 Phyllis and Wes left Huntsville’s city life to move to their farm in New Market. Together, they have five grown children, plus nine dogs, five horses, three mini ponies, a cat, and lots of chickens.
Phyllis never slows down, she is always busy with running their farm, currently building a house, and developing the farm for horses, cattle, and hosting events. She puts her hard work, energy and creative spirit into all of her projects. With encouragement from friends & family, Phyllis and her sister co-founded the Western Dressage Association of Alabama and is the current President.
Phyllis is focused on family first while passionate about the outdoors. In her free time, Phyllis loves adventure: hiking, boating, riding horses, marathons, extreme off-road foot races, wild game cook-offs, tennis, antique auctions, traveling and Alabama football games.
An advocate for the local animal shelters, she is committed to the local community by giving back as much as she can. Phyllis has an active role with Therapy Partners, visiting the St Jude children & the pediatric floor at Huntsville Hospital with her therapy dog, Big Boy.
Phyllis has a bachelor degree in finance from Jacksonville State University where she was all-conference on the tennis team.
